After I graduated from the University of Cooperative Education, I started my marketing career in 1990 at Beiersdorf AG, learning all about product and brand management with this internationally leading cosmetics corporation.

In der Schweizer Niederlassung war ich für die Markenführung bei den Marken NIVEA Visage, Nivea for Men, Basis pH, Gammon, Harmony etc. verantwortlich. Höhepunkt war die Projektverantwortung für die Entwicklung einer neuen Marke. Der Launch dieser ersten Kosmetikmarke für die Pflege der reifen Haut ab 50 – Nivea Vital – war im Testmarkt Schweiz so erfolgreich, dass 1995 schnell der Rollout in weiter europäische Länder folgte.

When the internet exploded into public awareness in 1995, becoming important and interesting for marketing and sales, I seized the opportunity to move to the young and booming software and internet sector. As Marketing and Vendor Relationship Manager for Softline GmbH, I met the founders of numerous interesting American start-ups personally.

Responsible for the introduction of such familiar brands as Netscape, Netobjects, Macromedia (now Adobe), Wacom, Mathsoft, Acronis, RealNetworks and Steganos, we were able to tremendously boost awareness of the Softline brand while increasing the circulation and coverage of the innovative software catalogue and the number of reseller partners. The boom continued. Success proved us right and with the IPO of Softline AG in February of the year 2000, sales and marketing went international. Company takeovers in England, France and Switzerland demanded coordination and strategy.

As Vice President for Business Development, I coordinated the product ranges at the international level and negotiated distribution contractsworldwide. Europe became “small” during this time as EasyJet & RYANAIR launched their services.

Als Geschäftsführer des Großhändlers Trade Up Distribution GmbH habe ich ab 2003 den B2B-Channel und den Vertrieb an IT-Reseller und Retailer wie Karstadt, Media Markt Saturn vorangetrieben. Dabei hat sich immer wieder das gleiche Problem gezeigt: Den Start-Ups und mittelständischen Unternehmen fehlten erfolgreiche Marketingstrategien und Vertriebskonzept gleichermaßen für die Vermarktung im B2B-und B2C-Bereich. Für mich ergab sich die große Chance zum Aufbau des eigenen Unternehmens mit meinem Ausstieg bei Trade Up GmbH im Jahre 2005.

Nach genau 10 Jahren startete ich mit meinem eigenen Konzept. Seitdem entwickle ich Marketingstrategien, realisiere Markteintritte, gewinne Referenzkunden, entwickle Innovationen, berate Unternehmer, trete als Redner auf. Mit Freude. Mit Begeisterung. Mit Neugierde.
